The role: As the Global Account Director you will provide strategic direction to one of Collinson’s key strategic payments Network relationships. The role provides leadership and direction to deliver long-term profit and revenue growth through the formulation and implementation of appropriate commercial, operational and product strategies. Overall responsibilities of management of the Network global account and team and matrix management of the relevant regional commercial teams. Key responsibilities : Foster and nurture strong, strategic connections with relevant contacts Formulate and lead the implementation of global strategic decisions Deliver regular updates on the account's growth and profitability to the Collinson Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board. Anticipate, comprehend, and address competitive challenges and market issues that may impact the client’s business Maintain a keen commercial awareness and understanding of commercial strategy, market intelligence, and competitor insights Efficiently manage regional commercial teams using a matrix approach, including training, delegation of tasks, and guiding regional account activities Collaborate with regional Commercial leadership to ensure alignment of regional/local strategy and effective management of matrix reports Understand and oversee global and regional account operations strategy, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and commercial strategy Acquire and retain expert knowledge of operational, systems, contractual, and financial processes of the businesses to troubleshoot problems and ensure smooth operations Effectively handle stakeholder relationships Stay closely connected to industry trends Understand and articulate client requirements, driving development and adoption Become an expert in the client's product offering, the respective region, and client-specific challenges Collaborate and effectively manage internal stakeholders and product owners at Collinson to achieve client objectives Promote a culture of delivery and accountability to ensure successful implementation and achievement of objectives. Inspire a team of talented account leads who are also dedicated to serving the client. Experience & skills required: Considerable experience in product, account, or relationship management experience, in European or International markets Strong commercial awareness and solid understanding of competitive environments. Awareness of the travel industry, and a customer’s travel journey Familiarity with financial services products (particularly consumer benefits) A strong communicator, able to distil complex topics and communicate simple and pragmatic solutions. Comfort with, and knowledge of, technology and trends disrupting the travel and/or payments space High level of numeracy and computer literacy (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) Fluent in English, and ideally another language.
