Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Able to assess an employee’s functionality and produce a quality report within the allocated timeframe.
2. Provide advice/support to employers on complex matters to facilitate an employee’s rehabilitation back to work after a period of sick leave.
3. Ensure the Occupational Health service delivery and co-ordination of administration processes are implemented accordingly.
4. Ensure operational efficiency of the Occupational Health function by completing the full range of services: medical information calls, management referrals, advice calls, ad hoc advice calls, Work Health Assessment questionnaire reviews, follow-up calls, report triage allocated to you.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
1. Either a specialist degree or a Diploma in Occupational Health.
2. Current Licence (preferably Part 3 of Register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
3. Currently practising Occupational Health work.
4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Excellent written and communication skills.
6. Able to organise and prioritise workload to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, especially prior to any period of annual leave.
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
1. Proven experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and proficient IT skills.
2. Excellent written and communication skills.
3. Experience in working towards KPIs and SLAs.
4. Ability to work as part of a busy team.
5. Experience in working with Occupational Health referrals and from a variety of organisations.
