Salary: £12.36 (all hours worked are paid) plus TRONC – all tips are pooled and shared with the team, paid out monthly.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team at the Fish Shop Restaurant and Fishmongers as Commis Chef working closely with our Executive Chef, Marcus Sherry, and team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for excellent food and a desire to develop your cooking skills. You will learn and gain experience on each section of our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing the mis-en-place for the section assigned to you accordingly to a list given to you.
* Ensuring the quality of food preparation is of the exceptional standard.
* Ensuring effective communication within the team.
* Assisting on other sections or help with other duties when required.
* Ensuring the cleanliness, organisation, and standards of the section.
Requirements:
* A true passion for food.
* The enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
* Good kitchen and knife skills.
* A good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.
* A willingness to work to the high standards.
* Innovation, creativity, and attention to detail.
* The right to work in the UK – we are unable to secure sponsored work visas for this role.
