Reed Accountancy & Finance is actively seeking an Interim Finance Manager for a six-month fixed-term contract. This crucial role involves providing management accounting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and decision support within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will work closely with Commercial Directors, Procurement teams, and the Head of Finance to maximise commercial opportunities and identify potential risks and opportunities within the region.
Interim Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a proactive Finance Business Partner to the commercial teams, providing support, challenges, and insights.
2. Deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis to key stakeholders, including:
1. Monthly and quarterly forecasts
2. Annual budgets
3. Variance analysis and bridge statements
4. Ad-hoc analysis to drive business performance
3. Manage consignment reconciliation, margin management, analysis, and challenges.
4. Present and explain commercial department performance at Weekly Trading Board meetings.
5. Identify risks and opportunities to achieve targets.
6. Develop, challenge, and scrutinize budget/forecast assumptions and KPIs.
7. Provide Monthly Review Packs and commentary.
8. Identify and articulate business performance variances and suggest improvements.
9. Calculate royalties and rebates and manage returns.
10. Handle grower loan requests and assess foreign currency requirements, producing forward purchase proposals.
11. Maintain robust financial controls across all areas.
12. Support the Head of Finance with analysis and project activities as needed.
Interim Finance Manager About You:
1. Experience in the fresh produce industry is desirable.
2. Background in management accounting or financial analysis within an FMCG, manufacturing, or traded commodity environment.
3. Proven ability to work closely with and influence non-finance managers and commercial teams.
4. A flexible team player capable of driving behavioral change through compelling analysis and collaboration.
5. Results-driven with a 'can do' attitude and a strong sense of personal ownership.
6. Enthusiastic and tenacious with a commitment to continuous improvement.
7. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all business levels.
8. Demonstrable experience in process improvement and stakeholder management.
9. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Interim Finance Manager Qualifications:
1. Qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA certified.
Interim Finance Manager Terms & Conditions:
1. Pension: Defined Contribution; 3% Employer and 5% Employee contribution after a successful probation period
2. Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
