Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and repairing a wide variety of tools, molds, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our production operations.
Responsibilities
* Use precision machinery and hand tools to create or modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications
* Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on existing tools to ensure their proper functioning
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for tooling improvements and implement cost-effective solutions
* Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain high standards of precision and accuracy
* Keep accurate records of tooling maintenance and repair activities
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Toolmaker or similar role in a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
* Extensive knowledge of precision machinery, hand tools, and measuring instruments
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities
* Certification in toolmaking or a related field is a plus
Day-to-day
As a Toolmaker, you will spend your days working with precision machinery and hand tools to create, modify, or repair various tools, molds, and fixtures. You will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that all tooling meets the required specifications and standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting quality checks, maintaining tooling records, and upholding safety protocols to create a productive and safe work environ
