Job summary Paediatric Nurse for Community Children's Nursing Services (CCNs) Following expansion of our service we have opportunities for motivated Band 5 registered nurses to gain experience of working within the CCN service. There are opportunities for both full and part time hours. This opportunity will enable the successful post holder to develop a variety of skills to support a career change into community practice and is open to newly qualified paediatric nurses. The post holder will work across the community to include; Care Closer to Homes Continuing Care Childrens Outpatients Special Needs Schools Providing care to children and young people with acute, complex and continuing healthcare needs. Main duties of the job Adopting a family centred approach, the post holder will work in co-production with families and close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the child/ young person receives a high standard of nursing care. We are a dynamic team providing high quality nursing care to children and young people within the community, including the patient's own home / respite facilities, the special needs schools, Childrens outpatient clinics and the expanding clinical workload within care closer to home. The CCNS have a robust induction programme and training opportunities. The post holder will be mentored to develop their skill set, reflective practice and autonomy supporting them when working within the community.
