Be “remarkable everyday” Role: Activity Coordinator Location: Swansea Hours: 37 Driver Essential What you will be doing Support people with learning disabilities to develop their skills and increase independence. Deliver a programme of engaging community activities and training to help individuals achieve their goals. Encourage and enable individuals to access and participate in their local community. Adapt activities and training to suit different levels of understanding and communication needs. Build relationships and collaborate with local organisations and agencies to create opportunities for the people we support. Promote inclusion by ensuring participants have a say in the design and delivery of projects. Maintain records, track progress, and evaluate the impact of activities. Be a positive ambassador for Cartrefi Cymru, promoting our values and strengthening our reputation. Identify gaps in local services and find creative, sustainable ways to address them. What you will need A passion for supporting people to live fulfilling lives. The ability to encourage and empower individuals to make their own choices. Strong communication skills to interact with participants, colleagues, and external professionals. The ability to adapt and be creative in delivering activities and training. Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to person-centred support. Organisational skills to plan and coordinate activities effectively. IT skills to maintain records and communicate efficiently. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and motivated attitude. A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle. The ability to communicate in Welsh is preferable but not essential.
