The role
As a Project Controls Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you'll significantly influence the Learning from Experience (LfE) process and practices for the project. This role offers excellent development potential and opportunities to grow within the team and broader function.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the team in daily LfE implementation and recording for the Project Controls Astute Project.
2. Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure LfE is appropriately recorded, reported, and implemented.
3. Assist the Senior LfE Engineers with capturing, reviewing, recording, sharing, and using LfE documentation.
4. Investigate LfE cases from the Submarine Support community for Astute Class submarine projects.
5. Facilitate LfE workshops with stakeholders and record outputs.
6. Produce and maintain LfE reports, recommendations, workshop notes, and registers.
7. Manage LfE registers for project planning and execution phases, including recommendations and actions.
Essential Experience:
* Knowledge of Project Controls and Project Management methodologies.
* Proven communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proactive, inquisitive, and focused on continual improvement.
* Experienced in data analysis, reporting, report writing, and information management.
* Background in change, transformation, or continuous improvement is a plus.
Qualifications:
* Project Management Qualification (e.g., APM, APMF, Prince2) is desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge and Information Management Practitioner or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
