Are you looking to join a well-supported charity in a management role that may be right on your doorstep? We are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to join us in Wokingham, re-imagining the vision for the store for the local community and our regular customers!
More about the role
As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will use your experience in retail management and play a crucial role in our shop's daily operations. Working alongside our Shop Manager, who has a wealth of experience in charity and commercial retail, you will explore new and innovative ways to sell. You can expect to manage incoming donations along with supervising and supporting our volunteers with the daily operations of the store. To do this role well, you should be a local who understands your community and is passionate about funding our vital work as a charity.
Blue Cross is supported by a network of generous donors, and every item sold helps fund our work: supporting sick, injured, and homeless pets and caring for over 40,000 animals each year through our rehoming, veterinary, and education programmes.
Our shops open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. This role is required for 14 hours per week, typically over 2 days. A rota could look like rotating Saturdays and a day off during the week (day varies per week). Hours are determined by business need, so we need our Assistant Shop Manager to be flexible as required. This role will include Bank Holiday and weekend working.
Join us and make a difference in your local community!
