We are seeking a talented Process Engineer/Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team.
Job Summary:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimising production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring product quality. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities for improvement, implement sustainable solutions, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Optimisation: Analyse, design, and optimise production processes to maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
2. Continuous Improvement Projects: Lead and support Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
3. Data Analysis: Collect and interpret process performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve production issues, using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to implement process changes effectively.
6. Standardisation: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
7. Training: Provide training to staff on new processes, tools, and improvement methodologies.
8. Sustainability: Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and other sustainability goals.
9. Compliance: Ensure all process changes comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant Engineering Qualifications
2. Previous experience in process engineering or continuous improvement, preferably in the food production industry.
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
5. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC) is advantageous.
6. Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to driving results.
