I am a lady who is soon to be discharged from the community hospital, and I am looking for a Personal Assistant to join my existing team to provide me with some person-focused care.
I live rurally in Berwickshire outside of Kelso and enjoy meeting friends for lunch, going to the theatre and cinema, and holidays now and then. I am a wheelchair user, with a well-adapted house. Accommodation may be available if required.
Terms:
* Hours of work: mornings and evenings; there can be some flexibility around the time of the visits which can be discussed with the employer.
* £14.00 per hour
* Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
* Workplace pension where applicable
* Probationary period of 3 months
Job Description
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
* To support an active disabled adult to ensure their safety and well-being.
* To support with general care needs as required.
* To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of equipment and surroundings.
* To develop a positive relationship with the employer.
* To interact with the employer and support her with activities she enjoys, in the home, but also in the local community, including supporting her in her wheelchair.
* To accompany the employer on short trips out of the house for appointments or social activities.

* Moving and assisting experience with hoisting training.
* Awareness of type 2 diabetes and colitis conditions.
