Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum depending on experience
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Guildford Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail, and post-registration experience. You're a focused, flexible, and motivated team worker.
Our Theatre Team currently has an opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitioner with surgical first assistant qualification. Continue your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team.
* Provide continuous competent and dedicated assistance under the direct supervision of the operating surgeon throughout the procedure.
* Promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements.
* Act as an SFA within the scope of practice across a caseload of orthopaedic, general, gynaecology, and urology surgery.
* Work as a Theatre Practitioner across various specialties when not acting as SFA.
* Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to report safety concerns.
* Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff in compliance with all policies and procedures.
* Support governance activity, ensuring compliance with Nuffield Health's Quality governance framework and national standards.
* Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends, and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect, and compassion.
* Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
Your Qualifications:
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
* Surgical First Assistant Qualification.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Immediate Life Support provider.
* Mentorship qualification.
