We have 7 regional offices in the Midlands, and an office in London allowing us to work closely with clients with land & property interests throughout the Midlands & beyond
The Role:
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Surveyor to join our busy Rural team. The successful applicant will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including advising clients; ranging from individual property owners and buyers to national developers and investors, looking to maximise their property portfolios.
This role will be based within our Rural North division set in our Atherstone and Ashby offices, but cover a wide geographical area where you will work part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Our existing team of Partners and qualified surveyors will offer full support where needed but you will be expected to work using your initiative both on your own and as part of a team.
In this role, day to day your responsibilities will cover:
* Property Agency – marketing reports, take ons, advertising, negotiations, sales chasing.
* Valuations – Red Book valuations on a variety of properties.
* RPA – dealing with BPS applications, CSS and other grant applications
* Management – dealing with the management of land held under FBTs and GK agreements as well as Contract Farming arrangements.
* Planning – dealing with the submission of planning applications.
* Development – working within a team to deliver advice to clients in relation to development, option and promotion agreements.
* Dispersal Sales – we hold regular Farm Dispersal Auction Sales, Collective Sales and Fodder Sales and your involvement will be required

Your Skills & Qualifications:
* Registered RICS Valuer (preferred, but not essential)
* An affinity for, and knowledge of farming and the agricultural community is essential.
* Demonstrable previous experience including agency, valuation, development, and CPO work
* You will be a keen, confident networker who is resourceful and capable of building and maintaining exceptional relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Strong communicator with excellent inter-personal skills
* Accurate, organised, numerate and technology savvy
* Team player with the ability to work under pressure
* Strong attention to detail
* “Can-do” attitude and ability to use initiative
* Full, clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
