An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time innovative, motivated and experienced registered Mental Health Practitioner to develop and provide Clinical leadership to the Psychosis and bipolar Pathway in Rotherham Mental Health Services.
The Clinical Lead has responsibility for the promotion and assistance in the maintenance of the highest attainable standards of nursing care provided by the teams. The role will focus on quality assurance and safety in practice and the role holder will provide senior clinical support and advice to the team members ensuring they are visible to all staff to provide clinical leadership.
The role holder will have the lead role of coordinating the team from a clinical perspective including clinical supervision, group supervision, referrals meetings and MDT reviews. The role will also include caseload reviews, allocations and providing consistency across any service developments.
The Clinical Lead will need to work closely with the team focusing on projects identified by management ensuring improvement of service provision, practice and quality assurance. You will also be involved in engagement with local stakeholders and 3rdsector organisations.
• Clinical leadership and development of the psychosis and bipolar pathway pathway.
• Supervision of staff.
• To assist managers, matron’s and the Trust to develop and improve services and practice for patients and staff.
• Ensure that all staff are aware of, and comply with NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• To provide clinical leadership, guidance, support and coaching to staff, promoting effective change management and strengthening of other staffing leadership skills.
• Report to the Team/Service Manager on the current state of staffing, seeking appropriate support as required.
• Support the Team/Service Manager with reviewing Safe Staffing and Safer Caseloads within the Team.
You should be able to demonstrate effective, evidence-based care management and risk assessment. You should also demonstrate strong leadership skills that enable you to provide containment, stability and a passion for this work that allows team members to come alongside you, at times of uncertainty and change.
