We are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for long-term roles in primary schools across Northampton. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to make a significant impact over an extended period. As a long-term HLTA, you will support classroom teachers, deliver lessons, and contribute to the overall learning and development of students. Responsibilities: -Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher. -Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, including those with special educational needs. -Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. -Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress. -Prepare and maintain classroom resources and materials. -Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch and break times. -Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development. -Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Requirements: -HLTA qualification or equivalent. -Proven experience working in a classroom setting, preferably in a similar role. -Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. -A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students. -Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
