Purpose of the Role
Join the Paint shop Process & Quality Team as the Paint & Quality Process Manager where you'll be responsible for robotic paint application and associated quality topics. You'll play a pivotal role in driving one of Bentley's key unique selling points, our extensive Paint colour range and quality of finish is unique within the industry. The role will be overseeing three parts of the facility, Current Model Paint Shop, New Model Paint Shop and Small Parts Paint shop. The role covers 24 hour production hence shift working and flexibility is essential. Reporting into the Process and Quality Manager, your main responsibilities include;
* Responsibility for the day to day aspects of the Paint Shop Quality Management System.
* Managing a team of Robot Minders and Off-Line Programmers across multi-disciplined robotic technology (Fanuc, Durr, B+M, Ferrobotics, Wandras)
* Control of internal process quality gateways.
* Control of material delivery systems.
* Real time data analysis and problem solving.
* Technical assistance with innovation and development projects.

About you - Skills and Experience
* Experience within an Automotive Manufacturing background with a strong background in Paint.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols within automotive paint shops.
* Knowledge of ISO14001 environmental procedures and understanding of local permit requirements.
* Knowledge of Paint processes and Robotic application and automotive paint shop materials.
* Knowledge of Robot applied corrosion protection and sound damping materials.
* Ability to implement Paint process control procedures to define and measure all essential metrics for paint application.
* Experience of commissioning new Paint Technology and integrating new materials.
* Significant experience in the practical application of Continuous Improvement tools & techniques and complex problem solving (including unplanned environment)
* Ability to work within a budget and actively seek cost reduction opportunities.
* Ability to coach / lead & communicate at all levels within the organisation.
* Ability to lead cross-technology teams & projects to achieve business improvement.
* Knowledge of the Product Emergence Process & key gateway deliverables.
* Degree or qualification equivalent (preferably Engineering / Manufacturing bias)
