Document Controller - Permanent Position
Location: Hatfield & Multiple Sites
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Package

Skilled Careers are currently headhunting for a strong Document Controller to join a leading residential business with a large presence in the UK. The company requires a Document Controller to work on a permanent basis, in an office-based role with little to no travel to site.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high standards of Quality Assurance for all project documentation, ensuring compliance with project naming conventions and document control protocols, ISO requirements.
2. Manage the accuracy, integrity, and security of all project documentation.
3. Register received information within EDMS where required.
4. Control revisions and status of all project documentation.
5. Maintain and ensure integrity, accuracy, quality, and security of electronic documents.
6. Maintain and ensure integrity and accuracy of document registers.
7. Manage the flow of project information and maintain document distribution lists.
8. Monitor and manage workflows for consultants/design team documentation.
9. Ensure full auditability and traceability of design coordination processes.
10. Generate reports within EDMS for projects as required.
11. Coordinate information for operation and maintenance manuals and project handover.
12. Assist with other projects and duties as required.
13. Provide training and guidance for project teams on EDMS.
14. Carry out regular project audits to maintain quality and project health.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Document Controller.
2. Construction industry background and experience of working in a construction site environment.
3. Experience in monitoring various document control processes and assurance.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience with Electronic Document Management Systems, MS Office Suite, Adobe, PowerPoint.
5. Must be customer/client/project focused with excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, able to work with high volume and large variety of documents.
7. Highly organized and process-driven.
8. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001 and ISO 19650.
9. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
10. Able to prioritize workload, work under pressure and within specified deadlines.
11. Self-motivated and self-auditing with high-quality standards.
12. Experience with sub-contractor & supplier approval processes.
