Your Role & Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis, reporting and tracking.
The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and also as part of a team. Candidates should have completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship. Experience should preferably come from a continuous process environment, with a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis. Experience of compressed air systems, furnaces, heating systems, rolling mills, gearboxes, motors and pumps would be a distinct advantage.
1. Track, monitor and manage the progress of your own work and report accordingly on the computerized maintenance system
2. Work under Permit to Work System when necessary
3. Work on Preventative Planned Maintenance
4. Support Production unit to ensure all Breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner
5. The successful applicant will be expected to troubleshoot and problem-solve engineering issues
Your Skills & Strengths
6. Must be time served in a Mechanical Engineering Discipline, have good numeracy and literacy skills
7. IPAF/BAA/Gas/FLT Certification would be a distinct advantage.
8. Ability to read and work with hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
9. Preference given to factory industrial background

Dayshift (37.50 hrs) – No shift allowance basic rate
Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00 8 hrs
Friday 07:30 – 13:00 5.5 hrs
Nightshift (37.50 hrs) – Shift Allowance 33.33%
Monday 21:15 – 07:30 9.75 hrs
Tuesday – Thursday 21:45 – 7:30 9.25 hrs
Backshift (32.50 hrs) – Shift Allowance 40%
Sunday 21:00 – 7:30 10 hrs
Monday 16:00 – 21:15 5.25 hrs
Tuesday – Thursday 16:00 – 21:45 5.75 hrs
