Senior Conference Producer - Reuters Events - Pharma Portfolio

Reuters Events is looking for a commercially-driven and strategically-minded Senior Conference Producer to join our pharmaceuticals and healthcare portfolio and deliver large-scale international events.

Our Pharma portfolio is vast and helps businesses and professionals in the sector plan for the next wave of change across technology, regulations and expectations for the future. We attract CEOs and executives from major industry brands such as companies such as GSK, Pfizer and Novo Nordisk, and sponsorship from top vendors and consultancies including Salesforce, Deloitte and IQVIA.
About the Role
As a Senior Conference Producer at Reuters Events, you will:
* Lead on the commercial success of major industry conferences in the Pharmaceuticals sector, including hitting quality, timelines, revenue and attendance targets and setting sales and marketing strategy for the entire project.
* Research and assess pharmaceutical markets, getting to grips with key business issues, developing conference agendas, and spotting opportunities to conduct high profile marketing campaigns.
* Use your commercial acumen and strategic mindset to contribute to future strategy and business planning.
* Mentor other Conference Producers including deadline management, monitoring event performance, planning (strategic, financial and operational) and providing guidance and coaching.
* Oversee quality control on products, marketing and client relations.
* Be involved in central projects that are core to driving the business and our pharmaceuticals portfolio forward.
About You
To be our Senior Conference Producer, you will most likely have:
* Demonstrable experience of producing conferences at a B2B conferencing and events company.
* A keen interest in the pharmaceuticals and healthcare space. Prior experience of producing in this space is not required, but we’d love to hear more about why it interests you!
* A track record of commercial and sales success, excellent project and time management skills, and the ability to work in changing circumstances.
* Managed entire projects at scale and/or grown commercial events/products from scratch, with more junior members of the team reporting into you on the project.
* A commercially driven mindset – you should understand the commercial drivers behind our customers' decisions, as our job is to help them make smarter ones!
* The ability to identify new and interesting business trends coupled with the drive to develop great events that senior business people can’t afford to miss.
* Great communication, research and analytical skills, with an entrepreneurial flair that'll allow you to work towards commercial targets.
