As a Process Technician at our Bristol HSSU Hub, you’ll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You’re organised with good communication skills – and ideally, you’re able to show evidence of sterile services training.
Nuffield Health is looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Sterile Services Technician to join the Team in HSSU, to assist in the preparation of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices, under controlled conditions, to meet customer requirements.
What’s in it for you?
* Hours worked between 7pm and 7 am any day of the week 30% of basic hourly rate.
* Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday 20% basic hourly rate.
* 33 days annual leave (including BHs)
Shifts available:
37.5hrs Night shift 20.00 – 0400 Sunday to Thursday.
As a Process Technician, you will:
* Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
* Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage, and taking action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary.
* Take action to resolve any problems.
* Escalate issues where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures.
What we are looking for as a Process Technician:
* A successful candidate will ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported.
* With good organisational skills, post holders will be required to maintain accurate records/documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
What do you need?
* A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
* Full training will be provided.
* Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
* Attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
* To be able to handle manual handling duties up to 13kg.
