It specialises in providing educational, cultural, and adventure activity trips for British and international schools, and youth groups to destinations Worldwide. The Company’s Head Office is based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands.
THE PRODUCT
Acorn Travel Group operates under two brands - The School Travel Company and Acorn Adventure. It offers ready-made and bespoke educational, cultural, and activity tours for schools and groups throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, ranging from day trips to multi-night residential tours. Our packages can include any combination of coach and/or air transport, accommodation, cultural visits and activities. Acorn Travel Group prides itself on providing the highest standards of service and all our tours are designed to offer groups a valuable learning experience and can help young people to develop an enthusiasm for travel.
JOB SUMMARY
Working closely with the Tour Organisers, the Customer Services Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient administration of bookings and liaising with suppliers, whilst delivering excellent customer service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Liaising with customers throughout the booking lifecycle to obtain group details (e.g. names, dietary requirements, food choices, rooming requirements), ensure prompt payment, produce and deliver final itinerary documentation and tickets. Ensuring that all communication with customers meets the company guidelines, including letters, emails, and phone calls.
2. Liaising with all suppliers (internal and external) to ensure your groups’ requirements are fully met. Responsible for communicating with third party suppliers, booking accommodation, excursions, flights, and managing payments.
3. Ensuring all data and communications are entered on to internal systems comprehensively and accurately.

The ideal candidate will possess most of the following:

* Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
* Attention to detail.
* Competent IT skills.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* A personal or professional interest in travel.
* Experience of the school travel market and/or tourism industry.
* Knowledge of one or more of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian.
NB: Salary will increase to £25,750 in April 2025. This job is Term Time Only (salary pro-rata'd based on hours and weeks agreed).
