This role is for a Maintenance Coordinator at Barnet Grange Care Home, a care home operated by Avery Healthcare. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities and maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.
Main duties of the job
The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, using their working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements. This includes plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs, and interior/exterior finishes. They will also engage with approved contractors as needed and cover all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building. Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of a Maintenance Assistant.

Your focus asaMaintenance Coordinator will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities, whilst maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
* Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly. This is accomplished with a working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements. These systems include plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs, and interior/exterior finishes (ex redecorating rooms, conducting fire training, water checks, fire testing, compliance checks, health and safety checks )
* Engaging with approved contractors as and whenrequiredand sourcing alternative suppliers as and whenneeded.
* Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
* Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, which includes day-to-daysupervision, objective setting and annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management and holiday authorisation.
