Job summary The Orchard Surgery is a well-established GP practice on the Wirral and has nearly 7000 patients. We have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our caring, hard-working, dedicated practice team. We are seeking someone with experience of working within a customer focussed setting who will up to 30 hours per week Monday - Friday including late cover until 6:30pm (8pm Thursdays) Flexibility is a must with availability as overtime is required to cover staff absences on occasions. 6 months probationary period Annual leave entitlement is 5 weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays Main duties of the job Opening up/locking-up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional Filing and retrieving paperwork Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers Clerical assistance using word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning About us We are a 3 Partner practice, with 4 salaried GP's, Nurse Clinician, Practice Nurse team, HCA, 3 GP Registrars and a wide team of varied healthcare roles working at the practice. We are proud to be a recognised training practice and regularly have GP Registrars and medical students working at the surgery completing their GP Training, being mentored by our GP's. We are also a Military Veteran Support surgery and are part of the Green Impact Project, working towards a more greener, sustainable way of working.
