The opportunity
We are looking for medical or life science specialists with a passion for writing to join our Envision Medical Communications team.
With various entry-level opportunities available, the Associate Medical Writer role is perfect for those wanting to move away from research and academia while continuing to apply their wealth of scientific knowledge. Working as part of a fantastic team of collaborative and talented Envisionaries, we will support you in developing the knowledge, skills, and expertise to deliver high-quality scientific content. As an Associate Medical Writer, you will benefit from extensive training and mentoring, all delivered by industry-leading experts, allowing you to reach your full potential.
We are open to applications from across the UK and support both remote and hybrid working options from our UK offices (London, Wilmslow, Horsham, and Glasgow).
Role responsibilities
How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?
1. With direction from mentors, create high-quality, scientifically accurate, and compliant content aligned with client and thought-leader objectives.
2. Develop knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, client and competitor products, the market, and industry regulations.
3. Gain skills to adapt writing styles across various project types, formats and target audiences.
4. With support, participate in client meetings, assisting in preparation of materials.
5. Follow internal and client SOPs, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
6. Manage and prioritise workload effectively, meeting deadlines and budgets with mentor support.
7. Develop expertise in project tracking and utilising tracking tools as appropriate.
Do you have what we are looking for?
1. A PhD or Master's degree in a biomedical, life science or scientific communications discipline
2. The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, both orally and in writing, in a range of different formats across various target audiences
3. The ability to manage your own workload across multiple projects
4. A keen eye for detail in all aspects of your work
5. Familiarity with the use of online and other data sources
6. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and, ideally, familiarity with referencing and/or graphing software
