Midwife
We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Brecon Beacons.

We have invested in a Freestanding Tirion Birth Centre based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital together with Alongside Midwifery Led Units based at our Obstetric Units in Prince Charles Hospital Merthyr Tydfil & Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. We also feel privileged to be able to offer women a Home Birth Service.

You will be responsible for providing high standards of care and support to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

* NMC Part 2 Registration
* Completion of core midwifery competencies in all areas of maternity
* Possession of a management qualification

* Perineal suturing / Obstetric theatre scrub skills

* Good communication and analytical skills
