Role Overview:
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. Your role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
* Medication Management: Help clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedules.
* Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences, and assist with feeding if necessary.
* Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility, including walking, transfers, and the use of mobility aids.
* Companionship: Provide social interaction and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Communication: Liaise effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
* Adherence to Policies: Follow organizational policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care) are advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Compassionate and patient attitude towards clients.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required.
