Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and accountable to the Chief Digital Information Officer, the Digital Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the operational management of the ICT Services. The post holder will be expected to meet or exceed expectations and align with the Trust's organisational goals. The post holder will be expected to work closely with key stakeholders and play an influential role.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will take the lead within the department on all aspects relating to managing the Operations within the ICT Services management. The post holder will be expected to work closely with key stakeholders and play an influential role. They will be expected to develop strong working relationships with our outsourced Strategic Partners, Department Heads, Directors and Clinical leads, both within the Trust and externally. Relationships across the public sector within the region and the ICS footprint will be required, and relationships with external vendors and suppliers will also be critical.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in Acute Hospital NHS Organisations
* Experience in managing Major Incident situations that are complex in nature
* Extensive experience of operating at senior level within a large organisation, including staff and budget management
* Substantial knowledge of and experience in developing commercial partnerships in the ICT industry
* Track record of delivery of IT projects or system implementation to defined standard, on time and within budget
* Experience should include the implementation of new organisational wide infrastructure and core system upgrades
* Experience of working collaboratively across organisational and administrative boundaries
* Experience of developing and presenting business cases briefings and reports to a range of diverse audiences including at Board level
* Extensive experience of dealing with highly complex IT problems including first response, resolution and long-term solutions
* Experience of managing capital and revenue budgets of significant value
* Experience of working at a senior level within an IT department
Management Skills and Operational Requirements
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage staff in all disciplines and at all levels
* Effective people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate both technical and non-technical staff
* Strong planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
* Ability to work independently and on own initiative, with limited supervision
* Ability to travel between Acute locations across Worcestershire, and occasionally to other locations in the UK
* Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel occasionally, including overnight stays when required (with appropriate prior notice)
* Requirement to participate in an on-call out of hours rota if required which may include evening, weekend or public holiday working
* Proven track record of managing system and equipment testing across multiple sites
* Thorough understanding of the NHS Operating Framework and Contract, Service Improvement agenda and NHS key performance indicators (or strongly demonstrate willingness to learn about these)
* Experience in management of large and complex projects
* Expert knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection legislation and Caldicott principles, GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act
