The Role:
The Data and Analytics team supports the charity in harnessing the power of data to improve outcomes for patients and operational excellence for our non-clinical colleagues. The Business Intelligence Developer will support the existing data platform and deliver new products to meet organizational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Engineering: Develop ETL processes, maintain the data platform, and create unit tests for automated testing.
2. Power BI Development: Build and maintain semantic models and Power BI reports.
3. Data Analysis: Interrogate data and collaborate with stakeholders to provide actionable insights based on data trends, patterns, and forecasts.
4. Support: Respond to user issues, offer guidance on reporting solutions, and investigate and fix bugs.
5. Monitoring: Monitor the data platform using alert and automated test systems, identifying optimization opportunities.
6. Peer Review: Review code from team members and collaborate on best practices, documenting processes as needed.
7. Personal Development: Take responsibility for learning new skills and certifications as required.
Your Profile:
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in developing data systems.
2. Proficient in SQL and DAX.
3. Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, and YAML.
4. Experience with Microsoft data tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Fabric.
5. Experience in creating data models and clearly communicating their rationale.
