The Role
To successfully lead and manage all aspects of high-value and complex construction projects, ensuring projects fully satisfy customer and company requirements, support the company's vision, strategy, business plan, and values, and contribute to business growth by building strong relationships.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure delivery and quality meet customer and company expectations.
* Coordinate the work of the site team, including subcontractors, trades, and external supply chain.
* Implement and maintain quality assurance standards to ensure project delivery.
* Maintain HSQE procedures from pre-start to project completion to ensure full compliance with standards, policies, processes, ISO accreditations, and legislative requirements.
* Ensure all programs, plans, method statements, and risk assessments are current, understood, and implemented.
* Understand and adhere to contract terms.
* Keep all site records up to date according to company and legislative requirements.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Manage budgets and financial status in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor.
* Identify and escalate potential issues promptly.
Skills & Experience
* Construction background with knowledge of PFMA, precast structures, and delivery.
* Extensive experience in construction management within similar organizations.
* Strong technical and legislative knowledge of construction.
* Experience managing projects up to £40 million.
* Knowledge of large MEP projects.
* Familiarity with precast and quality auditing, including fireproofing installations.
* Experience with external earth/groundworks.
* Ability to coordinate trades, including finishing trades.
* Ability to provide accurate and timely reports.
* Effective collaboration with commercial and planning teams to manage change.
* Knowledge of NEC 4 contract standards.
