The Post To work with the current Practice Learning Director to manage and develop practice learning for the BA (Hons) in Social Work and the MSc in Social Work Studies. The post-holder will also contribute to the MSc. in Applied Professional Studies (Social Work Practice Education) and other undergraduate and post-graduate modules on the social work qualifying programmes. Description of Duties Work in partnership with placement providers to deliver high quality practice learning opportunities for student social workers Develop new practice learning opportunities Undertake placement matching with students, agencies and social work practice educators Oversee and improve the quality of placements. This includes chairing practice learning review meetings, overseeing professional practice progress boards and evaluation of placements Contribute to the enhancement of teaching for social work students, and programme development, drawing on leading practices from the HE sector, in particular preparation for practice learning and student recall days Essential Criteria Qualifications Social work qualification Post-qualifying certificate in social work practice education/practice learning Knowledge, Skills & Experience Professional practice experience of working with social work students in the role of Practice Educator Experience of delivering teaching or training in a university-based or social work/social care agency setting Experience or knowledge to design, deliver, assess and evaluate modules in social work education or agency-based training as part continuing professional development For further information, including a full description of duties, essential criteria and details on how to apply, please click the 'Apply' button, above. £46,485 to £55,295.
