Job Details
Fife Council is Scotland’s third largest local and planning authority. This post will involve preparing Fife’s new Local Development Plan Fife’s Place Plan and supporting activity such as facilitating events, developing planning policy and guidance, assessing content for the new plan, and delivering project work.
Fife Council operates a blended work style that combines home-based and office-based working.
The Person
You must be educated to SCQF level 9, which includes a Degree or equivalent in Town and Country Planning. You should have Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and a good understanding of the statutory planning process with an emphasis on development planning.
Your communication skills must include the ability to interact with both business and technical teams. You will need to listen to service users and be confident in advising.
You should have the ability to travel within Fife where tasks require it.
