What you'll be doing
1. You'll support residents across multiple sheltered schemes in your allocated area, focusing particularly on those who receive housing benefit
2. You'll typically begin each day at our Park House office, with your time flexibly split between wellbeing calls, customer visits, and administrative tasks throughout the day
3. You'll develop personalised support plans for vulnerable residents, providing up to 45 minutes of weekly assistance for those most in need
4. You'll coordinate with healthcare professionals, occupational therapists, and benefit advisors to ensure comprehensive support
5. You'll help customers navigate benefits, budgeting challenges, healthcare appointments, occupational therapy referrals, and care assessments
6. You'll monitor emergency situations and respond as required, ensuring appropriate assistance is provided when needed
7. You'll maintain detailed records of all interactions, managing your own calendar to ensure all documentation is completed efficiently
8. You'll support residents to maintain their independence, helping them continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes.

More about you
You're a people person with genuine compassion for older adults and a commitment to helping them live independently. You have experience working one-to-one with people with varying needs and understand the challenges they face.
You're organised and efficient, with the ability to manage your time effectively between office-based work and customer visits. You're comfortable maintaining accurate records and can use Microsoft Word and Excel confidently.
You work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. You're resourceful in finding solutions to help vulnerable residents and can liaise effectively with multiple agencies.
A full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is essential for this role, as you'll be travelling to visit customers across your allocated sheltered schemes and occasionally transporting residents to appointments. Your vehicle must be insured for business use that includes carrying passengers.
