You will lead day-to-day demand planning activities, drive and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives, and build strategy and capability across the Demand Planning function. This is a varied role where you will enjoy the opportunity to be hands-on dealing with data, forecasting and planning. You will also take on strategic responsibility and (in conjunction with the Supply Planning Manager) lead, drive and execute improvements to better improve systems, procedures, and performance and make bottom-line improvements to business performance, costs and efficiency.
Your main duties will include, though not be limited to:
* Develop and deliver a commercially focused demand planning strategy in order to fulfil growth and service aspirations.
* Lead the demand planning function, working with stakeholders from multiple parts of the business to meet brand goals and targets.
* Drive capability and optimise demand planning performance with a focus on delivering continuity of product, and the best outcomes for the business while minimising cost.
* Develop ways of working, ownership, and process.
* Work with Finance, Sales, the Supply Planning Manager, and regional teams to understand requirements and develop supply chain and S&OP processes to optimise resources and reduce spend.
* Drive continuous improvements to Supply Chain Operations, identifying opportunities to improve supply chain performance, margin and volume, and ensure accuracy, DIFOT and commercial and operational decisions based on robust data.
* Lead and support new projects to develop improvements.
* Build partnerships with internal and external partners, facilitating an effective demand-driven order and buy processes.
* Champion demand planning and S&OP to build capability in line with improvements and higher expectations across Supply Chain and Operations.
The following experience/skills are also highly regarded for this role:
* Excellent knowledge of Demand Planning and (ideally) S&OP/IBP Processes.
* Understanding of managing and maintaining master data.
* Degree-level qualification in a business, supply chain or manufacturing-related discipline.
What’s in it for you:
There is a definite opportunity to come in and mark your mark, racking up achievements in building on & developing the demand planning and (in conjunction with the Supply Planning Manager) the S&OP function, improving supply chain performance and taking the company on a journey to Best Practice S&OP and Supply Chain Management. While the S&OP function is in place there is ample opportunity to continue to improve on this and to develop the demand planning function as the business continues to grow and the S&OP function matures and develops. The opportunity will appeal to both talented demand planners looking to take a step up and to experienced demand managers looking for an opportunity where they can have an impact, and grow their career with a successful, high-growth NZ business with a domestic and international focus.
