Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
I am a very sociable and smiley young boy. I have Down Syndrome and have had a tough start in life and as a result have mobility issues as well. I need some extra help after school and at weekends. I love to play but cannot coordinate my movements to do it on my own. Singing songs, messy play, being silly and being chatted to are all things I love. I like going out for walks, going in my stander and doing my daily physio exercises. I am tube fed and have my feed and medicine through my tummy tube/PEG. As I am in a wheelchair, I really enjoy the sensation and freedom of being in the water and swimming, and would love it if you would also enjoy coming swimming with me and my Mum or other PA.
Hours of work:
I need support for 3-6 hours a week in term time, and 6-12 hours a week in the holiday, and can be quite flexible in what days. I have another PA, so working the hours out between the two of you is preferable, although sometimes you may work the same hours as each other if I have a specific afternoon/day out planned when I might need both of you to help me.
