We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join the Frontier team, based at Wimblington on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be responsible for the inspection and analysis of crops for Frontier Agriculture and independent third parties as well as processing vehicle bookings both in and out of the site whilst upholding Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

About You
8. Experience of working in a Laboratory or similar working environment (desirable)
9. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
10. A flexible approach to working hours during peak season
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
12. Ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
Your Role
As a Laboratory Assistant your role will involve:
13. Analysing seed and grain for both Frontier and independent third-party customers
14. Processing vehicles in / out of store
15. Testing and grading commodities
16. Ensuring procedures are followed for grain testing
17. Logging all samples onto the system and input data
18. Carrying out research for external companies
19. Checking equipment is working accurately
20. Ensuring equipment records are kept up to date
21. Ensuring all records are accurate and any anomalies are highlighted to the laboratory manager
22. Completing the quality assurance plan with the laboratory manager
23. Covering the laboratory manager in their absence
24. Opportunities for training in other seed-related areas
