Facilities Manager - Join Our Team in Bristol!
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dynamic Hard Services Facilities Manager to join our direct delivery team in Abbey Wood, Bristol! As the Facilities Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the daily maintenance operations of our site, partnering with our Built Estate Manager (BEM) and Works Supervisor to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant delivery of maintenance services. Facilities management requires flexibility, quick thinking, and calmness under pressure—qualities that will be essential for success in this role.
In this position, you'll lead the daily maintenance of the site, overseeing reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and remedial works to meet key performance indicators (KPIs). You’ll review reports, monitor job progress and ensure maintenance projects are delivered on time, and work proactively to meet milestones and address any potential delays. Managing sub-contractors who handle installation and asset maintenance, you’ll ensure all necessary documentation (RAMS, SOKHs, Work Permits, etc.) is in place and up to date.
A central part of the role involves scoping and managing additional works, obtaining contractor quotes, ordering parts, and hiring equipment when needed. You’ll carry out monthly assurance inspections, maintain detailed records (both electronic and hard copies), and update our Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system regularly. As the Asbestos and Legionella Responsible Person, you’ll ensure all health and safety measures are followed, providing technical guidance and support to both the BEM and customers.
What You Need To Do The Job:
You will have a recognised qualification in IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH General Certificate, and a working understanding of Safe Systems of Work (JSP 375). Familiarity with a CAFM system is essential, as is previous experience in hard services facilities management. Certified skills in CDM Regulations 2015, SMSTS, or First Aid, as well as a full UK Driving Licence, are desirable and will be advantageous.
