The primary mission of the Royal Air Forces Association is to offer practical, emotional, and financial assistance to RAF personnel, veterans, and their dependents. The charity focuses on ensuring that those who have served or are serving in the RAF receive the support they need to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. Royal Air Forces Association collaborates with various organizations, including the Ministry of Defence, the RAF Benevolent Fund, and other military charities, to ensure that the RAF community receives comprehensive support.
About the role
As Supporter Marketing Officer you will be responsible for the planning and execution of supporter acquisition and stewardship activities across Membership, Legacy, and In-memory offerings, to maximize the profile of the Association and contribute to the overall fundraising objectives to grow sustainable income. The role will act as the day-to-day contact for membership, legacy, and in-memory supporter marketing and forge strong relationships with key agencies and suppliers.
Responsibilities
* Membership, legacy, and in-memory acquisition and stewardship elements of a wider personalized supporter engagement program, in order to achieve sustainable growth in income and engagement.
* Integrated supporter-centric acquisition campaigns, creating cost-effective leads achieving successful conversion, and maximizing retention and satisfaction.
* Coordinate day-to-day with agencies and suppliers to plan and execute the integrated activity, utilizing their expertise to maximize value and success.
* Design and deliver membership, legacy, and in-memory activity to generate income, grow the supporter base, and retain existing supporters, increasing LTV.
* Work closely with stakeholders to understand priorities to design mutually agreed activity deliverables specifically relating to renewals and recruitment activity.
* Work with the Customer Engagement Team to ensure supporter experience opportunities are maximized and managed in line with the overall Engagement plan.
* Liaise with the Supporter Marketing Manager to ensure that marketing plans are harmonized with the Association's overall wider marketing, communication, and fundraising plans.
* Experience in a direct marketing, individual giving, marketing, and communications role.
* Experience in delivering campaigns or appeals.
* Working knowledge of applicable legislation and ethical codes of practice.
* Communicate with the highest standards of accuracy, fluency, grammar, and expression (written and verbal).
* Impart information and key messages, concisely, and convincingly.
* Able to build strong relationships with suppliers, employees, and external stakeholders.
* Experience working on membership marketing.
* Experience working across legacy and in-memory products.
* Professional experience in digital marketing or communications disciplines.
Required Qualifications
* Undergraduate Degree.
