Financial Systems Accountant - Process Improvement Near Buckingham - 6 month interim assignment Salary/Day rate - negotiable - 3 days office - 2 remote Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Additional qualifications in finance systems, data analysis, or process improvement (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, Lean Six Sigma) or QBE would be advantageous. Experience & Skills: Financial & Systems Expertise: Strong background in finance operations, particularly Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and financial data management. Experience working with financial systems Familiarity with internal controls, data security, and compliance standards in financial processes. Data & Process Improvement: Proven experience in analysing financial processes and implementing automation to reduce manual intervention. High proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other BI tools). Ability to design, test, and implement data workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Experience in managing system interfaces, upgrades, and integrations. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inefficiencies. Experience making data-driven decisions and influencing key financial and system developments. Ability to work with IT and finance teams to optimise system performance and reporting capabilities. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to train and support colleagues in financial systems and process improvements. Experience in liaising with external vendors and regulatory bodies for financial systems enhancements.
