And we need your talents You will support, co-ordinate and monitor the Educational, Clinical Practice Placements and Internships programmes for Psychological Professionals within Chief Psychologist's portfolio. Building on the achievements of our previous postholders, these two permanent roles will have a strong project management, support, and delivery focus linked to expanding training opportunities and new roles in our diverse range of Psychological Professions. Your expert Psychological Professionals background will enable you to work with a range of stakeholders who are all committed to support the access to high quality training opportunities in the NHS which will further grow and retain our Psychological Professions workforce. This position will be primarily remote working with pre-planned attendance at Trust sites as required on a weekly basis. Main duties of the job You will provide an effective and comprehensive support to the Chief Psychologist and senior Psychological Professions leads responsible for Workforce Transformation Projects as appropriate. And you will be supported to work autonomously, initiating action on behalf of the Chief Psychologist linked to growing our Practice Placements and Training Opportunities for Psychological Professionals across our Birmingham & Solihull services. You main duties will be: - To ensure all undergraduate/pre-registration psychological professions students experience a high-quality practice - learning environment through a robust and fully integrated partnership between the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Service Providers (BSMHFT) and NHSE-Workforce Training & Education Division (formerly known as Health Education England). To ensure assessors and supervisors of student psychologists and trainee psychological professionals including associates/degree apprentices receive robust support and education within the clinical environments they are placed. To actively influence staff in the development of a "student friendly culture" encouraging potential healthcare recruits and subsequently supporting the local recruitment and retention group and monitor quality of placements. To assist in the management of Psychological Professionals Apprenticeships and others on pre-registration Psychological Professions training programmes.
