Job Description
The day to day responsibilities for the role will be to work closely with multiple departments and suppliers to support the factory build targets and department KPIs.
About The Role
· Raising, amending and monitoring purchase orders for your supplier portfolio.
· Maintain accurate and timely purchase order management.
· Update the ERP system with the relevant supplier and item information
· Work with vendors to reduce lead times and costs.
· Expedite open orders and shortage items to minimise production line stops.
· Maximise inventory turns by managing stock levels for your items.
· Arrange transport of goods as required and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
· Assist finance and stores in resolving invoicing and delivery queries.
· Assist the organisation in identifying potential cost savings.
· Build and maintain vendor relationships.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Develop strong & effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Promote a culture of teamwork, problem solving and commercial awareness.

Desired Criteria
* Experience in ERP/MRP systems is preferable but not essential.
* Knowledge and experience of Industry and products.
* CIPS Qualification or similar.
Required Criteria
* 2+ years purchasing experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment or equivalent relevant experience gained in other industries.
* Strong Organisational skills.
* Be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written.
* Be IT literate in the usual Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Be positive, motivated, ambitious, proactive, with a "can do" attitude.
