The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an RVN to work across two of our practices, Medivet Wantage and Medivet Faringdon. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with a fair share of weekends.
Medivet Wantage is a converted old farmhouse situated one mile away from Wantage town centre. The historic market town has a wide variety of independent shops, restaurants, weekly markets, and a monthly farmers market.
Our kind and caring team based in Wantage is led by Partner and Veterinary Surgeon Daniel Varian, who also oversees the Faringdon practice. The practice offers a full range of excellent veterinary services, including cat-only clinics and has been awarded a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). The team is made up of 5 Vets, 2 RVNs, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 2 part-time Client Care Assistants.
Medivet Faringdon vets work across both sites ensuring a continuous working relationship for the staff. Faringdon is located in a large building with a large car park and digital x-ray.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role you will:
* Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
* Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
* Deliver patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
* Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
* Hold briefings to engage and coordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience:
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
* Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
* Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
