Coleg Cambria is seeking an Instructor Demonstrator/Assessor in Hospitality and Catering for its Yale site. This hybrid role involves 70% instruction and demonstration and 30% assessment, ideal for those passionate about teaching and evaluating in the field.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical sessions, guide students through hands-on activities, and provide continuous support and feedback. Key duties include preparing practical activities, maintaining records, assisting in student reviews, and ensuring course outcomes are met.
On the assessment side, responsibilities include conducting Training Needs Analysis, initial assessments, and monitoring student progress. The assessor will also develop assessment methods and prepare students for verification visits.
This role is perfect for someone with a hospitality and catering background in both industry and education eager to shape the next generation of professionals.
Essential Requirements
6. A professionally relevant qualification at minimum of Level 3 or equivalent
7. Possess or be willing to work towards an assessors qualification (TAQA)
8. Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above.
9. Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
