Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are recruiting for a Sleep Practitioner to support families, children and young people, ensuring excellence in the delivery of our evidence-based sleep services.
The role includes delivering a range of support such as online sleep clinics for families, provision of workshops and delivery of drop-in sessions in the community. The role is remote working but we require the right candidate to live around South or West Yorkshire to be able to deliver workshops and drop-in sessions in the community.
Responsibilities
1. To provide high quality Sleep Practitioner support to families through one-to-one clinics, drop-in sessions and delivery of training both online and face to face.
2. To manage a caseload of clients as required providing 1-1 sleep support intervention through a range of mechanisms including face to face, video and telephone, keeping up to date and accurate records.
3. To provide expert sleep advice and information to beneficiaries and professionals through a variety of means including written information, workshops and training.
4. To liaise effectively with external agencies.
5. To meet the core competencies, CPD requirements and attend supervision and training in line with charity policy.
6. To ensure sleep services run efficiently, providing timely support/information and keeping accurate records.
7. To ensure families are aware of the service by promoting it in the local community through a variety of means.
8. To collate information, capturing data, utilising the charity’s CRM system efficiently.
9. To identify and secure suitable locations in the community to hold sleep support sessions.
10. To ensure excellent safeguarding practice in all aspects of work.
11. To be a point of contact for professionals who approach the service.
12. To network with other local organisations to develop and maintain relationships, acting as an ambassador for the charity.
13. To liaise regularly with the Head of Sleep Support to implement measures to ensure support to those needing our services is provided in the most appropriate and efficient manner.
14. To attend and contribute to peer support sessions and meetings.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
