Job summary The Emergency Department Receptionist role contributes to the provision of health care to patients and relatives by providing a comprehensive and confidential clerical and receptionist support for emergency attendances and admissions. As part of a 24 hour service, the role supports patients in experiencing a smooth journey through adhering to the appropriate systems, policies, procedures, and processes in the department. Main duties of the job As this is a 24 hour service, the post holder will be required to cover day, evening, night, and weekend shifts as part of the rota. The main duties include: Providing a full reception service to patients, visitors, and staff To ensure all patients are booked, transferred, admitted, and discharged correctly throughout their journey in the Emergency Department To input and extract data from WPAS To undertake full clerical duties The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
