Job Description
Our client is at the forefront of innovation and working towards a smarter, greener future. They are seeking a 3-4 year PQE Legal Counsel to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role supporting key business operations with complex legal matters across a variety of commercial, technology, regulatory, and compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead on high-value, complex transactions, including negotiating and drafting agreements related to outsourcing, managed services, telecommunications, cloud computing, data hosting, IT infrastructure, software licensing, and information security.
2. Advise on regulatory compliance, including privacy laws, data protection (e.g., GDPR), and cybersecurity regulations.
3. Provide employment law guidance on a range of issues including contracts, disputes, terminations, and workplace policies.
4. Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation and settlement negotiations, and liaise with external counsel as necessary.
5. Stay updated on evolving regulatory landscapes and advise the business on new and emerging legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
1. 3-4 years of post-qualification experience.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead on high-value, complex transactions and commercial agreements, particularly in outsourcing, technology, and telecommunications.
3. Strong knowledge of IT law, including software licensing, cloud services, data hosting, networks, and cybersecurity.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
5. Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Prior in-house legal experience is highly desirable.
