A specialist equipment hire company for global maritime and industrial sectors is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain our Client’s equipment at their headquarters and at international customer sites. The Field Service Technician will need to have a minimum level 3 in electronics, mechatronics or similar. In addition, be able to pass medical/survival training, have a driving licence, and have strong communication, teamwork, fault-finding, and customer service skills.
This role involves extensive UK and overseas travel of about 180+ days a year.

Key Responsibilities:
Keep equipment in a fully serviceable condition at customer sites
Test all spare assemblies at the start, periodically during, and when spare parts are delivered throughout a project
Mobilise and demobilise the geophysical, seismic and geotechnical equipment
During mobilisations, ensure all equipment is installed with due regard for adequate air circulation, vibration isolation and sea fastening prior to final testing and sailing of the vessel
Familiarise and adhere to all statutory legislation and company policies pertaining to HSE
Maintain a clean and safe working area
Review certifications on equipment for compliance against company procedures and statutory legislation
Assist with winch operations and the loading/unloading of equipment
Participate in all toolbox talks, emergency drills and safety meetings
Complete risk assessments relating to anything equipment related
Complete pre-use checklists and observers’ logs
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Have minimum level 3 in electronics, mechatronics or similar
Fault find independently in remote and challenging environments
Strong communication, teamwork, customer service, time management, and fault-finding skills
Willingness to travel extensively in the UK and overseas and adapt to varying work schedules
UK driving licence and passport
Be able to undertake and pass Medical & Survival training (ENG1 medical and BOSIET survival)
Desirables:
Have knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 + offshore/overnight payments + field bonus + OT (can increase salary to the range of £45-60k)
