As a QHSE Coordinator you will assist the site in achieving its objectives and ensure all safety processes and systems are always followed and adhered to by all employees, promoting a safe working environment and a positive Health and Safety culture, whilst also assisting with compliance towards BRC Global Standards for Food Safety in Warehousing. This is a full time, permanent position, working on an any 5 out of 7 shift. However, when required, flexibility will be required to support the 24/7 function of the site. You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What you’ll do on a typical day: Support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with legislation and best practice Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work for all tasks carried out within the warehouse Preparation of monthly QHSE statistics to be delivered at site monthly meeting Completion of all incident / accident investigations including online reporting via Fastworks platform Ensuring ongoing compliance with Food Standards Agency legislation relating to the operating of a Food Premises Maintain operational compliance with BRC Global Standard for Food Storage and Distribution What you need to succeed at GXO: Have a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent would be advantageous however, not essential as we will support to get this qualification. IOSH qualification is essential Previous experience in an operationally focused, Health and Safety role, ideally from a food environment The ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels along with a results and success-driven approach focusing on identifying and sharing best practice HACCP/TACCP highly desirable Experience in warehouse operations and MHE We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
