The Domestic Services Department is recruiting for Domestic Supervisors to undertake supervisory responsibilities across the Dundee locality in order to deliver the service to the highest standard of cleanliness within the healthcare setting.
Domestic Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Domestic Assistants across the site(s) and provision of cleaning services. They monitor and maintain standards of cleanliness within resource allocation and based on national recommendations such as the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification.
You must have the ability to:
1. Work as part of a team or on your own initiative, including lone working.
2. Experience in customer services.
3. Possess good verbal/written communication skills and communicate information effectively.
4. Respond constructively to unpredictable situations and cope under pressure.
5. Have good PC skills to undertake online-based tasks and train staff members on mandatory online-based training.
6. Have awareness of H&S and Infection Control issues associated with the role.
7. Carry out tasks in a methodical manner.
8. Possess cleaning skills.
9. Follow instructions from relevant management teams and implement them.
10. Use organised work methods.
11. Carry out mandatory training, both online and face-to-face.
12. Understand the importance of maintaining and observing confidentiality.
13. Learn and adapt.
14. Be friendly, courteous, and polite.
15. Be confident and approachable.
All Domestic Supervisors are required to work throughout NHS Tayside at various sites/areas should there be a requirement to do so. The postholder must have the ability to travel.
