The successful candidate will lead and establish the infrastructure required to ensure all Supplier relationships are effectively managed in the collection of c.£1.7bn in Producer fees and the administration of that money in the form of Grant payments to 440 Local Authorities across the UK. Job description The successful candidate will: Establish excellent relationships with the SAs strategic partners, monitoring and supporting them in ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled and levels of service set out in contractual agreements are delivered. Lead the team that will be the first point of contact for all contractual and supplier management issues across the Directorate. Lead regular Supplier Relationship Analysis. Provide support to the SA Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategic contracts, inputting to tendering activities for all key contracts. Establish mechanisms for capturing and reviewing Management Information, to include Suppliers service performance; KPIs, Milestones and Service Credits. Help the F inancial Services Supplier to deliver assigned and agreed targets set by the Scheme Administrator and support the business in meeting their contractual obligations Manage key relationships with all stakeholders who are party to the contracts of strategic suppliers. Maintain a strong working relationship with the SAs key Suppliers to facilitate delivery of high-quality performance in both cost and service. Provide visible commercial and contract management leadership, developing detailed knowledge of the obligations within the SAs key strategic contracts, maintaining knowledge of the levers, performance standards, KPIs and CPIs etc. contained. Making strategic recommendations based on actual performance data to drive out effective delivery from all suppliers. Respond to and negotiate on the behalf of the Director of the SA when contracting queries arise. Advise and support the SA SLT and other key stakeholders, responding accurately with reference to contractual issues in a timely manner. Develop and deliver education and training across the SA so that contract management awareness is enhanced across all stakeholders. Develop and implement a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework. Person specification Responsible for the mobilisation and management of the SAs Financial Services Supplier (FSS) contract (due to be awarded in December 2024) ready for the launch of the SA in October 2025. Responsible for the management of the Supplier Relationship Management Function within the SA. Responsible for maintaining the SA contracts register and engaging with SA SLT for plans on contract extensions, re-procurements etc. Providing support and guidance to contract managers responsible for the management of operational and tactical contracts Lead, motivate, line manage and direct staff members to develop and implement corporate initiatives to control and secure compliance with business outcomes and to ensure continuous improvement in the field of SRM and Contract Management. Responsible for performance management and development of team members Responsible for ensuring that relevant SRM systems are kept up to date so that accurate management information can be produced for reporting purposes; Support the SA on commercial risk management actions. Lead on SA contribution to procurement of all commercial contracts and any associated dispute resolution activities; Create a commercial culture that allows good SRM and Contract Management practices to be applied and ensures that the SA considers SRM requirements when managing contracts; Showcase SRM and Contract Management services to senior management peers across the SA to ensure commercial considerations influence strategic decision-making. Providing focused relationship management and negotiation skills to deliver client outcomes whilst recognising the importance of the suppliers objectives. Establish and maintain excellent relationships at all levels across the SA and its Supplier ecosystem, influencing both sides to adopt and support policies and processes that are in line with business and environmental needs.
