Our Court of Protection team is nationally recognised and seen as one of the strongest teams, with the most dedicated solicitors, in the country. We’re currently looking for an experienced Solicitors (ideally 2+ years’ PQE) to join our contentious Health and Welfare team.
Our Public Law team has many Chambers and Legal 500 recognised solicitors who will work with you to help develop your career. You'll get exposure to high quality, challenging work and get hands on experience from day one whilst working within a supportive and grown-up environment where you’ll be encouraged to use all of your talents in order to achieve the best results for our clients.
This role is on a hybrid working arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the Manchester/London office depending on what it is right for you and your clients.
Role/Responsibilities: For this role, due of the nature of the types of clients we deal with, you will need to be empathetic and have the ability to communicate with the most vulnerable of clients. You’ll need to have an understanding of funding streams for packages of care including continuing health care and local authority funding.
You’ll be able to manage a high-volume caseload across a variety of matters and clearly, you’ll work in a compliant and efficient manner. For the more senior employees, you’ll also have the opportunity to supervise the casework of more junior staff in the team.

Anyone with links to referrers of Court of Protection work would be seen as an added bonus, but it’s not essential so don’t let it put you off applying. What’s important is you have a detailed knowledge of Court of Protection work and have the right attitude and personality to provide high quality advice within this dedicated area of law.
